Bordering on Gros Morne National Park, a world heritage site, Lomond River Lodge and campground is within a fifty kilometer (30 mile) radius of the following activities and attractions:

Boat Tours

There are two boat tours offered within the park, the Tablelands Boat Tour which operates on Trout River Pond and the Western Brook Pond tour which operates on Western Brook Pond. Other boat tours are offered in nearby communities and include tours of Bonne Bay and St. Paul's Inlet.

Lighthouses

There are two very popular lighthouses to be seen in Gros Morne National Park: They are Woody Point Lighthouse (20 kms from Lomond River Lodge) and Lobster Cove Head Lighthouse.

Coastal communities

Several coastal communities are found within a very short distance of Lomond River Lodge. Each with its own brand of unique Newfoundland hospitality. Your visit to these communities will be so much to the delight of local people. Below are a list of communities nearby.Trout River, Shoal Brook, Birchy Head, Glenburnie, Wiltondale, Woody Point, Rocky Harbour and Norris Point.

One of the most popular fishing spots in Gros Morne Park is the Lomond River. However there are other areas available which also makes for a good fishing excursion. They are listed below. Hiking Trails

There are a number of trails in the park, ranging from half-hour strolls to four or five day backpacking routes. Below is a list of the trails available in Gros Morne Park. Old Mail Road, Broom Point, Western Brook Pond, Stag Brook, Snug Harbour, Green Point, Berry Head Pond, Lobster Cove Head, Berry Hill, Baker's Brook Falls, Berry Hill Pond, Gros Morne Mountain, Southeast Brook Falls, Lomond River, Stuckless Pond, Stanleyville, Lookout, Tablelands, Green Gardens, Trout River Pond, North Rim Traverse, Long Range Traverse.
